Aqeel Ahmed is a Ph.D. candidate working under Dr. Bruno Quoitin at UMONS. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication from Mehran University, Jamshoro Pakistan. He also completed his Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters degree in Smart Cities and Communities from Heriot-Watt University, UK, UMONS, Belgium, UPV/EHU Spain, and IHU, Greece. During his master’s thesis, he worked on Intelligent IoT Network Malware Classification using Real-time Heterogeneous Data. He is currently working on the use of a Deep learning algorithm for IoT device identification using radio frequency fingerprinting and the main focus is LoRaWAN.
