Jean-Noël Colin is a professor of cybersecurity at the Faculty of Computer Science of the University of Namur. He leads a small research team focused on the application of artificial intelligence, and more specifically on reinforcement learning, in the field of cybersecurity in general, and more specifically on the detection of anomalies by exploiting DNS data or the design of ‘intelligent’ honeypots. He is also leading work on a feasibility study for the implementation of a national identity management system in the Republic of Comoros, and others on the design of a semi-automatic analysis tool for the legal and regulatory compliance of an information system. He teaches to various audiences: bachelor and master’s degrees in computer science, master’s degree in ICT law, and continuing education.
